Nam Shin (Seo Kang Joon) is poised to be the heir to the lucrative family-run PK business group… until a shocking and brutal assault leaves him badly injured and comatose. His mother Oh Laura (Kim Sung Ryung), one of South Korea’s top robotics and AI scientists, decides to act to ensure Nam Shin’s medical condition doesn’t jeopardize his chances of taking over PK. She secretly releases Nam Shin III, an android copy of her son, to stand in for Nam Shin, and hires Kang So Bong (Gong Seung Yeon), a former female MMA fighter, as the android’s bodyguard. But schemes are afoot, as unscrupulous individuals try to oust Nam Shin. And things get even messier when So Bong starts to fall for Nam Shin III. Is an unconventional romance in the cards?
