Go Eun Sung (Han Hyo Joo) is a kind-hearted and optimistic young woman whose life takes a drastic turn after her wealthy father suddenly dies. Her cruel stepmother, Baek Sung Hee (Kim Mi Sook), seizes all her assets, leaving Eun Sung and her autistic younger brother, Eun Woo (Yeon Jun Suk), penniless and homeless, and Eun Woo goes missing soon after. In a twist of fate, Eun Sung saves elderly ailing CEO Jang Sook Ja (Ban Hyo Jung), who is disgusted by her own spoiled grandchildren, particularly the arrogant and cold-hearted Sunwoo Hwan (Lee Seung Gi). Impressed by Eun Sung's compassion and resilience, the CEO decides to bypass her own family and names Eun Sung as her sole heir. As Eun Sung searches for her brother and navigates the challenges of her new life, she must prove her worth, uncover her stepmother's deceit, and find love amidst adversity.

The life of ruthless but successful lawyer Do Hae Kang (Kim Hyun Joo) is crumbling around her: her husband Jin Eon (Ji Jin Hee) cheated on her their daughter has passed away. They decide to divorce, but before the paperwork gets filed, Hae Kang crosses paths with her long-lost twin sister Dokgo Yong Ki (also played by Kim Hyun Joo), a pregnant widow. Yong Ki requests that they swap cars on the way home to try and evade pursuers, and Hae Kang agrees – only to get into an accident and lose her memory. Hae Kang ends up living as Yong Ki, adopting a warmer, more cheerful personality that replaces her own. However, when she runs across Jin Eon, now preparing to marry his affair partner, they start to fall for each other again, forcing Hae Kang to decide if she wants to start a new life or give her old one another chance.
