For Kotoko, this was a dream come true, as she’d had a longstanding crush on Naoki. Despite his initial disdain for her, Naoki eventually fell for Kotoko, and they ended up getting married. However, married life may not be the sweet fantasy they’d dreamed it would be. Kotoko has decided to become a nurse, but her studies aren’t going well. Plus, having a charming, good-looking husband has its drawbacks – as Naoki seems to have no shortage of female admirers! Can they overcome these hurdles and ensure their love survives the test of time? This 2014 Japanese drama, based on the hit manga of the same name by Kaoru Tada, follows 2013’s Mischievous Kiss: Love in TOKYO. It was directed by Kazuya Konaka and Takashi Ninomiya.

Teenager Go Hye Mi (Bae Suzy) dreamed of attending Julliard and becoming a classical singer, but after her wealthy father goes bankrupt and runs away to avoid loan sharks, she’s left behind to handle his affairs. A debt collector suggests that she attend Kirin Arts High, where students train in the hopes of becoming K-pop idols, become a singer, and use the money from album sales to repay her father’s debts. Hye Mi finds the idea distasteful, but agrees when the debt collector threatens to force her younger sister into work instead. After auditioning for Kirin, Hye Mi encounters students like aspiring dancer Jin Guk (Taecyeon), Kim Pil Sook (IU), and more, who help her broaden her horizons and learn more about music and performing. Hye Mi grows closer to Jin Guk in particular, despite a rocky first encounter, changing her life forever.

Dream High

Kirin Arts High School, home to students dreaming of becoming entertainers, has gone bankrupt. Luckily, they’re “saved” by Oz Entertainment, which enrolls its own idols at Kirin, including JB (JB), half of the duo Eden, and Ri An (Park Ji Yeon) of girl group HershE, to circumvent a law requiring underage entertainers to attend school. Hye Sung (Kang So Ra), a preacher's daughter, enrolls at Kirin with dreams of working in the music industry. However, despite her high test scores, she's hopeless at singing, landing her at the bottom of the school's social hierarchy. She crosses paths with Yoo Jin (Jeong Jin Woon), a former child star turned rockstar-hopeful who falls for her. However, Hye Sung is a longtime fangirl of JB – and JB himself is struggling with his feelings for ex Ri An, tangling them up even more. This is a follow-up to 2011's "Dream High."

But the arrival of transfer student Park Heung Soo (Kim Woo Bin) rips open old wounds as the two are thrust back into a complicated friendship fraught with unspoken grievances. Meanwhile, their teachers, the passionate Jung In Jae (Jang Na Ra) and the pragmatic Kang Se Chan (Choi Daniel), grapple with the harsh realities of the Korean education system and the ever-present threat of student violence, especially at Seungri High, where student morale is low and bullying runs rampant. Can these teachers find a way to reach their students – and can Nam Soon and Heung Soo find a way to reconcile?
