Four thieves do what they do best for the good of the common people during the Ming Dynasty. Li Ge Xiao (Wallace Huo) is a master swordsman with an intellect that no one else can match. Can the unusual group fight corruption, injustice and oppression? “Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei” is a 2011 Chinese drama series directed by Lee Kwok Lap. It is a remake of the popular Korean dramas “Iljimae” (2008) and “The Return of Iljimae” (2009).

During the time of the Chinese Northern Qi dynasty, a lady-in-waiting could never become a princess because of the rigid social hierarchy and the actions of many jealous rivals.
