AleXa is an American singer, dancer and actress who found fame after winning “Rising Legends: Season 2,” an audition competition program sponsored by Soompi and Cube Entertainment. Winning the top prize in the show in 2017 gave AleXa the opportunity to travel to Seoul, South Korea, to officially audition for Cube Entertainment and record her debut song and music video. She also stars in “LEGENDARY: Making of a K-Pop Star,” a 2017 Viki Original series that follows her trip to Seoul to experience the K-pop star treatment for the first time. She debuted as a K-pop singer in October 2019 and released her single album titled "Bomb" on. In 2022, she won NBC's American Song Contest with the song "Wonderland" where she represented her home state Oklahoma.

The daughter of a Korean adoptee, AleXa grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She began taking dance classes at 18 months and has taken ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, lyrical and tap. She joined a competitive dance team in 5th grade and has been involved in her high school pom team and elite show choir. AleXa says she was first exposed to K-pop in 7th grade, when she and her best friend had to do a group project about a Chinese celebrity for their Chinese class, and they chose Henry from Super Junior. She has been a big fan ever since.

JRE, which stands for Just Random Everyday, is the stage name of an American YouTube star who has produced the JREKML channel with his cousin KML since 2011. Amber Liu is an Asian American rapper, singer and songwriter who is active in South Korea. Born on September 18, 1992, in Los Angeles, California, to parents who are originally from Taiwan, Amber attended high school in LA before moving to South Korea to become a music trainee in 2008 after winning an international casting audition. After a year and a half of training, she debuted as part of the K-pop girl group f(x) in 2009. In addition to her music activities, Amber has become a popular participant in Korean reality and variety shows, including appearing on “Invincible Youth” (2011-2012), hosting “Show Champion” (2013), “A Song for You” (2014) and “We Got Married Global Edition” (2014). She also appeared on the travel series “One Fine Day” and the all-female special segment of “Real Men.” Amber made her official debut as a solo artist in 2015.

Accompanied by YouTube K-pop fan JRE, she experiences the full journey of becoming a K-pop trainee at Cube Entertainment, including an official agency audition, dance and vocal training, a complete makeover, and her first professional photo shoot with "KWAVE" magazine. The series captures her behind-the-scenes preparation, featuring guest appearances from K-pop personalities like Amber from f(x), Jang Moon Bok from "Produce 101", and the K-Tigers taekwondo team. The special documentary culminates with Alex Christine shooting her debut music video and releasing her first single "Strike It Up".
