Viki, Inc. (“Rakuten Viki”, “we”, “our” and/or “us”) provides a personalized service that offers and recommends entertainment content to you through the Rakuten Viki branded website (“Site”), mobile and TV applications (“Apps”), and other available features, functionalities, user interfaces, content and proprietary software applications within the Site and Apps (collectively, the “Rakuten Viki Service”). This Cookie and Tracking Technology Policy (“Policy”) describes the cookies, pixels, and other tracking technology (collectively, “Tracking Technology”) used on the Rakuten Viki Service, how it is used, and how you can change your preferences.
Please read this Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Terms Of Use carefully (collectively, our “Agreements”). By accessing or using the Rakuten Viki Service, you acknowledge and agree you have read and understood our Agreements.
1. TRACKING TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
We, along with our third-party partners, advertisers, and service providers, use Tracking Technology to automatically collect information on the Rakuten Viki Service that might relate to you, your activity and preferences, or your device over time to make the Rakuten Viki Service work as you expect, to analyze and improve the Rakuten Viki Service, and to provide you with a personalized experience or advertisements. Please refer to Section 2 below for more information about the types of Tracking Technology and use cases.
We use first and third-party Tracking Technology. First party Tracking Technology is used and controlled by us to provide the Rakuten Viki Service. Third-party Tracking Technology is controlled by third parties that help provide services like analytics and advertising.
2. TRACKING TECHNOLOGY USES

This includes Tracking Technology set by Third-Party Services when you choose to interact with such services via the Rakuten Viki Service, such as when you use the feature to share our content using social platforms. This Tracking Technology can identify you across your activity on other websites or online services. |
| Advertising | We and our advertising partners may collect information using Tracking Technology to help make the advertising you see on the Rakuten Viki Service and other online services more relevant to you, and to measure the effectiveness of the advertising (e.g. this Tracking Technology can help us and our advertising partners show you useful and relevant ads more effectively). Such Tracking Technology is provided in accordance with the Internet Advertising Bureau’s privacy frameworks (such as the TCF Framework for Europe and the Multi-state Privacy Agreement for US). |

3. HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PREFERENCES
We use a Consent Management Platform (“CMP”) to enable us to transparently present user options, to capture, store and retrieve user preferences regarding processing of Personal Information, and to transmit user preferences or consent profiles. You can configure the default Tracking Technology settings by adjusting your preferences using our CMP and the privacy choices page, accessible using the following links, which are also available from within our App and on the footer of our Site:

- Other countries: “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or “Your Privacy Choices”
You cannot opt-out or withdraw your consent to the use of Strictly Necessary Tracking Technology, as this is used to ensure proper functioning of the Rakuten Viki Service.
We recognize valid opt-out preference signals sent from browsers or devices, including the Global Privacy Control. When we receive such signals that do not conflict with your existing privacy preferences, we will automatically exercise opt-out rights that may be available to you under applicable U.S. laws, such as the rights to opt out of sale, sharing, and processing your Personal Information for targeted advertising. You can also set your web browser to reject Tracking Technology from the Site. Each browser is different, so you should check your browser or device’s “Help” menu to learn how to change your preferences.
You may also disable certain App Tracking Technology from the settings screen on your mobile device. In addition, you can manage and delete Tracking Technology placed by internet based advertising companies through Digital Advertising Alliance in the U.S., or All About Tracking Technology or Your Online Choices in the EU. You can change your device settings, on your iPhone, iPad or Android, to control whether you see online internet based ads.
You should note that if you reject or block certain Tracking Technology, the Rakuten Viki Service may not function as intended. For example, we may not be able to store your preferences or login information or customize the content to your viewing habits.
Subject to local law, you may have certain rights regarding information that we or third parties collect from Tracking Technology. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information about your privacy rights.
4. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We will update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will govern Tracking Technology, with the latest update date at the top of this page. Please re-visit this Policy regularly to stay informed about the use of Tracking Technology and related technologies on the Rakuten Viki Service. We will provide you with notice of material changes, such as by sending you an email, posting to our website, providing a notice through the Rakuten Viki Service, or other reasonable means. Changes to this Policy are effective upon receipt of such notice, or your continued use of the Rakuten Viki Service, whichever is sooner.
