Soon Tae writes a letter pleading his innocence and asking for help and sends it to Choi Pil Jae (Kim Myung Min), a police detective that Soon Tae believed was righteous. But Pil Jae had already quit his job as a detective after his partner betrayed him and now works as an illegal law broker at a law firm. Pil Jae disregards Soon Tae’s letter at first, but when he realizes that it was a case handled by his former partner, Pil Jae is intrigued.
