Hang Geng is a Chinese singer and actor. He was born on February 9, 1984 in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, China and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2005 as a member of SM Entertainment’s idol group, Super Junior. He made his debut as an actor in 2009 and has since appeared in various films and television dramas, including “So Young” (2013), “Sweet Sixteen” (2016), and “The Wasted Times” (2016).

Zheng Kai, or Ryan Zheng, as he’s also known, is a Chinese actor. He was born on April 17, 1986 in Shanghai, China and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2008. Since debut, he has appeared in various films and television dramas, including “Fleet of Time” (2014), “Best Get Going” (2015), and “Running Man” (2015).

Yu Wen Wen is a Chinese actress and singer born on November 7, 1989, in Liaoning, China. She moved to Canada while still a child, and attended a secondary school in Vancouver. She then went on to study at the Berklee College in Boston, Massachusetts. She made her acting debut in the movie “Under the Rain” in 2012 and released an EP of the same name later the same year. She followed up with her first studio album, “Spirits,” in 2014. Also in 2014, she made her TV drama debut, appearing in “One and a Half Summer.” More recently, she has appeared in the movies “The Ex-Files 3: The Return of the Exes” (2017) and “Twenty” (2018).

Zeng Meng Xue is a Chinese actress who was born on October 12, 1994, in Sichuan, China. She studied at a Beijing-based film and television school run by fellow Chinese actress Fan Bing Bing, and made her debut in the 2012 period comedy “Princess Reinstated.” She went on to appear in the TV drama “Su Ran Ran’s Husband Hunting Journey” (2016) and made her movie debut in “The Ex-Files 3: The Return of the Exes” (2017), playing one of the four lead characters. More recently, she has appeared in the dramas “Hi! My Ex” (2018) and “Cupid of the Chou Dynasty” (2019).

Meng Yun (Han Geng) and Lin Jia	(Yu Wen Wen) were once a poor but happy couple.

Then Meng Yun launched his entrepreneurial dream. Success followed, but it came at a cost – now Lin Jia feels unappreciated and unloved. And Meng Yun says he is tired of being nagged at home when all he is trying to do is build a good life for Lin Jia. The couple decides to split.

Meng Yun finds solace in spending time with his best friend and fellow entrepreneur Yu Fei (Zheng Kai), who has also recently split from his wife – and Lin Jia’s closest confidante – Ding (Zeng Meng Xue).

The four friends seem to be making the most of their new-found freedom and single status…until Yu Fei and Ding unexpectedly announce they are getting back together.

The movie is the third installment of the “Ex-Files” trilogy, which began in 2014. The second movie, “The Ex-File 2: The Backup Strikes Back,” was released in 2015.
