He Lan Dou is a Chinese actress. Born on October 16, 1999, she made her acting debug in the 2017 film “Dragon Hunter.” She also has appeared in the television dramas “The Love Knot: His Excellency’s First Love” (2018) and “Youth” (2018).

Chen Fei Yu is a Chinese actor who was born in the United States on April 9, 2000, to director Chen Kai Ge and actress Chen Hong. He studied at Beijing Jingshan School and Tabor Academy and gained admission to the Beijing Film Academy in 2019. However, he made his acting debut when he was aged just 10, appearing in the movie “Sacrifice” (2010). He has since gone on to appear in a number of movie and drama titles, including “My Best Summer” in 2019.

Kara Hui is a veteran Hong Kong-born actress who made her debut in the 1976 martial arts movie “Challenge of the Masters” (1976). She played the main role in the smash-hit action film “My Young Auntie” (1982) and was handed the Best Actress prize at the inaugural Hong Kong Film Awards. She has since starred in scores of films in both Hong Kong and mainland China, including the 2019 film “My Best Summer.”

Geng Geng (He Lan Dou) is a socially awkward but warm-hearted girl who is about to start her first year at the exclusive Zhen Hua High School.

She is filled with trepidation, though, and worried that the school will be too much for her to cope with – and fearful that she does not belong there.

But in a stroke of good fortune, she finds herself paired in class with a remarkable deskmate, the popular and smart Yu Huai (Chen Fei Yu).

Although their friendship gets off to a rocky start – with the two arguing about minor trifles – they eventually form a strong bond and become inseparable.

Together, they begin to form firm friendships with their classmates – including some quirky and unusual characters – as well as some very inspiring teachers.

Will Geng Geng and Yu Huai’s friendship survive high school – and could platonic love turn into something more romantic as their relationship deepens.

The movie is based on a novel by Chinese author Ba Yue Chang An. The novel also spawned the 2016 series “With You.”

“My Best Summer” is a 2019 Chinese movie directed by Zhang Di Sha.
