Han Suk Kyu is an award-winning veteran South Korean actor. Born on November 3, 1964, he made his acting debut in the 1990 television drama “Our Paradise” and then rose to fame in 1994 drama “The Moon of Seoul, enjoying tremendous popularity in both films and television dramas during the 1990s. Some of his recent works include “A Tree With Deep Roots” (2011), “Secret Door” (2014) and “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” (2016). Han Suk Kyu is married to Im Myung Joo.

He studied Theatre at Dongguk University, and began his career in the late 1980s and early 1990s, appearing in a number of stage plays. He then transitioned into screen acting and won acclaim for his role in the Palme d’Or-winning movie “Oldboy “(2003). He has since gone on to appear in hi movie releases such as “I Saw the Devil” (2010) and “The Admiral: Roaring Currents” (2014). Honoring those who made scientific progress, the King sought out the greatest minds in Joseon, celebrating the advancements they made in agriculture, astrology, medicine, and more. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a mind inclined to think outside the box, it was only a matter of time before he crossed paths with the brilliant Jang Yeong Sik (Choi Min Sik).&nbsp;
