Yang Dong Geun is a popular South Korean actor, rapper, hip-hop artist and singer-songwriter who also is known as YDG. Born on June 1, 1979, he made his debut as a child actor in the 1986 television drama “Three Families Under One Roof” and then won two Best Young Actor awards for his role in the 1991 television drama “Hyung.” Many other acting awards have followed. Some of his popular television roles include “I Am Sam” (2007), “Hero” (2012), “The Three Musketeers” (2014), “Bubblegum” (2016) and a notable cameo in Viki’s first original series “Dramaworld” (2016). In 2016, Yang Dong Geun, along with his son Joon Seo and daughter Joy, joined the cast of the popular reality series “The Return of Superman.”

He made his debut in 1991, when he appeared in the drama series “General Rainbow,” as well as the movie release “Do You Like Afternoons After a Storm?” He went on to appear in the 2001 television drama series “Delicious Proposal” and the 2006 movie “Blue Sky.” In 2013, he appeared in the documentary film “Black Gospel,” as well as the variety TV show “Law of the Jungle in the Himalayas.”

In 2013, members of the group traveled to the United States to take part in the documentary film “Black Gospel,” following up with “Black Gospel 2” in 2015.
