Sammi Cheng is a Hong Kong-born singer and actress who was born on August 19, 1972. She began her career in the late 1980s while aged only 16 – placing third in the New Talent Singing Awards, later going on to release three studio albums while still in her teens. She began acting in the drama series “A Life of His Own” in 1991 and went on to become one of the biggest names in Hong Kong contemporary music, earning the title “The Queen of Cantopop.” Her movie credits include “Summer Holiday” (2000), “Infernal Affairs III” (2003), and “Triumph in the Skies” (2015).

He followed up with his big-screen bow in “Cops and Robbers” (1991). In 1999, he appeared in the movie “Fly Me to Polaris,” also performing the OST’s lead track. His musical performance bagged him the Best Original Film Song prize at the Hong Kong Film Awards later the same year.

In the eighties, he returned to Hong Kong and was met with overwhelming success as both a musician and an actor. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in countless films and a number of television dramas, including “Fagara” (2019).

When Hong Kong travel agent Acacia (Sammi Cheng) learns of her estranged father Ha Leung's (Kenny Bee) sudden death, she travels to Chongqing to arrange his funeral. She discovers she has two half-sisters: Branch (Megan Lai), a professional pool player from Taiwan, and Cherry (Li Xiao Feng), a digital fashionista raised by her grandmother. United by grief, the sisters inherit their father's struggling hot pot restaurant and decide to keep it running to settle his debts. As they work together, they begin to share their personal struggles and dreams, gradually forming a genuine familial bond. Adapted from Amy Cheung's novel "My Spicy Love," this is a 2019 South Korean family drama film directed by Heiward Mak.
