Synopsis

Not the world’s most honest painter, Sun Woo Jung (Yoo Da In) is an artist who finds her greatest source of artistic inspiration comes not from within, but more from the work of her fellow artists. Inspired by other artists’ work, Woo Jung has made it her life’s work to copy the work of others and sell it under her own name. Though she is constantly being sued by the original artists, Woo Jung insists that she is merely borrowing their art, not stealing it.  Despite her unethical work, Seo Jin Ho (Song Jae Rim), the head curator of an art museum approaches her with an offer to display her work at a special exhibition. Thrilled to have her work noticed, she accepts Jin Ho’s offer, but her enthusiasm doesn’t stop there. Determined to seal the deal, Woo Jung quickly moves her meetings with Jin Ho from the conference room to the bedroom. Carrying on an affair with Jin Ho behind her boyfriend, Kim Hyung Joong’s (Sim Hee Sup) back, Woo Jung and Jin Ho agree to keep their relationship secret. Little does Woo Jung know, her boyfriend and her old school friend, Tak So Young (Ok Ja Yeon), have a few secrets of their own. Caught in a tangled web of lies and deceit, both Woo Jung’s life and work slowly begin to fall apart. Will she be able to put the crumbling pieces of her life back together or will her life of deception cause everything to come crashing down around her? A dramatic story of lies and deception, “The Snob” is a 2019 drama film directed by Shin A Ga and Lee Sang Cheol.
