Synopsis

Colleges students Feng (Tsao Yu Ning), Victory (Carlos Chan), and their three friends return to Feng’s former school to pay it one final visit in their summer vacation. But this is not any old school: It is a former detention camp dating back to World War II, when Imperial Japanese used it as a gruesome torture center and a base for ghastly human experiments on hapless prisoners. The school has been closed for a decade and is due to be demolished shortly, but there is still time for Feng and friends to unearth no shortage of secrets. And as they begin their search, they soon come across reports of a ghostly presence, and even more spine-chilling accounts of students’ disappearance. The school’s former principal and an ex-janitor whose daughter vanished at the school also roam the hallways – as do monstrous phantoms who threaten to end this exploratory journey in the most macabre of ways... “Binding Souls” is a 2018 Hong Kong horror film that was directed by Chan Pang Chun.
