He began acting in 1971 and after years working in the theater, he began to appear in movies at the end of the decade, starring in titles such as “The Ballad of Orin” in 1977. He also began to appear in drama series titles in the 1980s, such as “Toge no Gunzo” (1982). In 1992, he appeared in the drama “The Last U-Boat” and his further movie credits include “Midnight Diner” in 2015 and the sequel “Midnight Diner 2” (2016). In 2019, he starred in the movie “The Island of Cats.”
