Kang Dong Won is an award-winning South Korean actor. Born on January 18, 1981, he was discovered by a modeling agent when he was in his first year of college. He discovered his passion for acting after appearing in singer Jo Sung Mo’s music video for his song “I Swear.” He made his acting debut in the 2003 television drama “Country Princess” and “1% of Anything,” which brought him his first of many Best New Actor awards. But it was the 2004 film “Temptation of Wolves” that shot him to fame. He also has appeared in the popular films “My Brilliant Life” (2014), “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” (2016) and “Golden Slumber” (2018).

He began acting in the mid-2000s and in 2009 made an appearance in the hit movie “Castaway on the Moon.” He has since appeared in the movies “Jane” (2016), “Peninsula” (2020), and “Escape from Mogadishu.” As a director, he released the short films “After School” (2015) and “Girls on Top” (2017).
