Kang Dong Won is an award-winning South Korean actor. Born on January 18, 1981, he was discovered by a modeling agent when he was in his first year of college. He discovered his passion for acting after appearing in singer Jo Sung Mo’s music video for his song “I Swear.” He made his acting debut in the 2003 television drama “Country Princess” and “1% of Anything,” which brought him his first of many Best New Actor awards. But it was the 2004 film “Temptation of Wolves” that shot him to fame. He also has appeared in the popular films “My Brilliant Life” (2014), “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” (2016) and “Golden Slumber” (2018).

Born on February 7, 1980, she made her acting debut in the 1996 film “A Petal,” for which she won Best New Actress awards at the 34th Grand Bell Awards, 17th Blue Dragon Film Awards, 16th Korean Association Association of Film Critics Awards and the Cine21 Awards in 1997. Lee Jung Hyun also found instant fame when she branched into singing, sweeping all the Best New Artist awards with her first single “Come” in 1999. She is widely known as “The Techno Queen” and is credited for introducing techno music to Korea and throughout Asia. The accolades for both her music and acting have rolled in ever since. Some of her recent credits include the films “Split” (2016) and “The Battleship Island” (2017) and the television drama “Family Is Coming” (2015).

Kwon Hae Hyo is a South Korean actor. He was born in Seoul, South Korea on November 6, 1965 and made his debut on the stage in 1990. In 1992 he made his first appearance on the silver screen and in 1993 he took on his first role in a television drama. Since then, he has appeared in countless films and dramas, including “My Lovely Sam Soon” (2005), “Ghost” (2012), “The Crowned Clown” (2019) and “Juror 8” (2019).

He has starred in hit drama series including “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” (2015) and “Feel Good to Die (2018).” He is married to actress Choi Yoo Ra, and the couple both starred in 2015 drama “Spy.” He has also featured in variety and reality TV shows, including “Urban Cops” (2019).

Born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 14, 1982, Koo is a South Korean actor and movie director. He began acting in the mid-2000s and in 2009 made an appearance in the hit movie “Castaway on the Moon.” He has since appeared in the movies “Jane” (2016), “Peninsula” (2020), and “Escape from Mogadishu.” As a director, he released the short films “After School” (2015) and “Girls on Top” (2017).

When a zombie outbreak occurs in South Korea, it takes less than a day for the entire country to be overwhelmed by a ravenous horde. Unable to explain the outbreak and equally unable to stop it, the rest of the world can only sit by and watch in horror as the entire Korean peninsula is overrun. To prevent the spread of infection, the nations of the world agree that the only thing to do is quarantine South Korea, permanently. Scrambling to escape the zombies before the borders are closed for good, the uninfected desperately attempt to fight their way out. Among those trying to escape are Marine Captain Jung Seok (Kang Dong Won) and his family. Despite his years of public service, Jung Seok is so intent on escaping that he leaves a desperately struggling Min Jung (Lee Jung Hyun) and her family behind.

Four years later, Jung Seok and his brother-in-law, Chul Min (Kim Do Yoon), are still haunted by the terrors of their harrowing escape. Riddled with guilt and looking for a chance at redemption, Jung Seok and Chul Min agree to return to South Korea on a mission to retrieve a very valuable piece of property for a group of Chinese mobsters. Despite the fact that this mission borders on suicidal, the two readily agree to take the job. Now back in Korea once more, Chul Min and Jung Seok quickly learn that zombies aren’t the only ones inhabiting this apocalyptic wasteland.

Chased by zombies and hunted by a rogue militia group, Jung Seok and Chul Min’s chances of survival quickly dwindle. Only with the help of those they abandoned four years ago do they stand a chance of getting off this zombie-plagued peninsula alive.

A standalone sequel to “Train to Busan” (2016), “Peninsula” is a 2020 zombie action-horror film directed by Yeon Sang Ho.
