Brotherhood of Blades 2

Shen Lian (Chang Chen) is a soldier who – in a sudden act of bravery on a blood-soaked battlefield – manages to save an Imperial guard named Lu Wen Zhao (Zhang Yi) from impending doom. To thank him, Lu Wen Zhao takes Shen Lian with him to the Imperial capital to become a guardsman. Although the members of the guard are notoriously corrupt, Shen Lian shuns the culture of bribery. He also has a fondness for art, and is particularly keen on the works of a female artist named Bei Zhai (Yang Mi). However, Bei Zhang has fallen foul of scheming forces at court and has been accused of producing artworks that deride and mock the Emperor. Ironically, Shen Lian is dispatched to find and kill her. But his fondness for her work, and a shocking discovery at a murder scene lead opportunist rebels to frame him for a crime he did not commit. He decides to flee and try to clear his name away from the Imperial court – but the investigations of a quick-witted rival guard make his every move all the more perilous! “Brotherhood of Blades 2” is a 2017 Chinese movie that was directed and co-written for the screen by Lu Yang.
