Angelababy, also known as Yeung Wing or Yang Ying, is a Chinese model, actress, and singer based in Hong Kong. She was born February 28, 1989 in Shanghai and moved to Hong Kong at the age of thirteen to pursue her modeling career. She made her acting debut in 2007 focusing mostly on film until 2014 when she joined the cast of “Keep Running”, the Chinese spin-off of the original Korean variety show, “Running Man”. In 2015, she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Huang Xiao Ming. That same year she made her first appearance in a television drama. Since then she has taken on various roles, from supporting characters to leads in both dramas and film including, “Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon” (2013), “General and I” (2017) and “Entrepreneurial Age” (2018).

Yuan Xiao Chao is a gold medal-winning wushu practitioner and actor who was born in Heze, Shandong Province, China, on August 7, 1988. He took up the martial art of wushu in 1998 and won bronze in the 2005 East Asian Games, before winning the World Championships in 2005 and again in 2007. He also won gold at the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 and again in Guangzhou in 2010, after which he retired from competition. He took up acting in the 2010s, when he starred in the movies “Tai Chi Zero” and the sequel “Tai Chi Hero” (both 2012).

Yuan Xiao Chao

Eddie Peng is an actor and singer. Born on March 24, 1982, in Taiwan, he is of Hakka Chinese heritage. He also is known as Peng Yu Yen. Eddie Peng immigrated to Canada at the age of 13 and graduated from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in Vancouver and then attended the University of British Columbia as an economics major. He was discovered when he returned to Taiwan to attend his grandmother’s funeral and decided to discontinue his studies to pursue acting. He made his acting debut in the 2002 television series “Tomorrow.” He has since starred in many films and television dramas, including “Honey and Clover” (2008), “The Concerto” (2009), “My Sassy Girl” (2010) and “Sound of the Desert” (2014).

Feng Shao Feng is the stage name of Feng Wei, a veteran Chinese actor who is among the elite few stars whose films have grossed more than 1 billion yuan at the Chinese box office. Born on October 7, 1978, he began his acting career in 2001 after graduating from the Shanghai Theater Academy in 2001. Some of his most memorable roles include the television dramas “Beauty’s Rival in Palace” (2010), “Girl in Blue” (2010), “The Emperor’s Harem” (2011) and “Ice Fantasy” (2016), as well as the films “White Vengeance” (2011), “Divergence” (2012), “Painted Skin: The Resurrection” (2012), “Love Will Tear Us Apart” (2013), “Dragon Blade” (2015), “The Monkey King 2” (2016) and “The Starry Night, The Starry Sea” (2017).

Feng Shao Feng

Nikki Hsieh is a Taiwanese actress and model. Born on May 1, 1985, as Hsieh Hsin Ying, she made her acting debut in the 2005 television series “It Started With a Kiss” and the film “Reflections,” for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 2006 Golden Horse Awards. She also won the Best Actress Award for her role in the film “Make Up” at the 2011 Taipei Film Festival. Nikki Hsieh also is known her for roles in the popular television dramas “Lovestore at the Corner” (2014) and “The Crossing Hero” (2015).

Daniel Wu is an American-Chinese actor and director who was born on September 30, 1974, in Berkeley, California. He was raised in Orinda, California, and attended the University of Oregon. He made his movie debut in 1998 when he featured in “Bishonen.” He has since gone on to star in numerous movies and dramas, scooping the Best Supporting Actor award at the Golden Horse Awards for his appearance in “New Police Story” (2004). More recently, he has appeared in the drama “Into the Badlands” (2015), as well as movies “Go Away Mr. Tumor” (2015) and “Tomb Raider” (2018).

Yang Lu Chan (Yuan Xiao Chao) is a bumbling wanderer with a strange affliction that once threatened his life. In order to solve the problem, he traveled to a small village full of martial artists in an attempt to learn their secret form of kung fu. They initially refused as they have promised never to teach an outsider. But after he helped them fight off Fang Zi Jing (Eddie Peng) and his wicked plans to build a railway through their village, the residents decided to take him in – provided he married Chen Yu Niang (Angelababy).

Regardless, the villagers still consider Yang Lu Chan to be something of a buffoon – particularly Chen Yu Niang, who insists that he call her “master!” But when Fang Zi Jing returns with a powerful military force, replete with heavily armed soldiers, a flying machine, and cannons backing him up, the village is once again under threat. The villagers realize that they need heroes to step up to the plate and fight back...or risk seeing their settlement wiped off the map forever. Do Yang Lu Chan and his master/wife Chen Yu Niang have what it takes to thwart this wicked scheme?

This film is the sequel to “Tai Chi Zero,” which featured many of the same characters and actors and was released in 2012.
