Kong Young Tan (Im Chang Jung), a poor rural man, travels to Seoul with dreams of becoming a teacher. Settling into his new life, Young Tan falls in love with Sun Mi (Park Jin Hee), the village chief's sister-in-law, while uncovering the village's greatest secret. As he attempts to navigate his new circumstances and woo Sun Mi, Young Tan must decide whether to protect the village's hidden truth or risk exposing it.
