Synopsis
Having recently been released from prison, Mo San Mei (Zhu Yi Long) finds himself facing an uncertain future. As an unmarried thirty-something ex-convict, his father considers him a disgrace to the family and his sister isn’t much better. But despite his father’s disappointment, he still sees fit to give San Mei a chance to turn his life around.
Hoping to retire, San Mei’s father decides the time has come to pass the family business along to his wayward son. Without any real say in the matter, San Mei finds himself the new director of the family’s small funeral home. Living and working at the funeral parlor, San Mei settles comfortably enough into his new life. But things take an extremely unexpected turn the day Wu Xiao Wen (Yang En You) walks into his life.
Abandoned by her relatives after the death of her grandmother, San Mei has no choice but to take Xiao Wen in. With absolutely no idea what he’s doing, can this ex-con find a way to become the father this little girl needs?
