Synopsis
When Gu Yu Xuan (Chen Fei Yu) met Han Shu Yan (Zhou Ye) on his birthday, many years ago, he had no idea that his life would change forever. Friends from the moment they met, Yu Xuan and Shu Yan might have grown into life-long friends. Sadly they never got that chance as their budding friendship was cut short by Shu Yan and her family’s sudden move.
It’s been many years since Yu Xuan last saw Shu Yan and though he is now a successful toy designer who genuinely loves his job, he has yet to find lasting happiness in a relationship. Well aware that his heart only really beats for his long-lost friend, Shu Yan, Yu Xuan accepts the fact that he may never see her again. Needless to say, he’s more than a little surprised when he meets her at his best friend’s wedding. Realizing Shu Yan hasn’t recognized him, Yu Xuan is a little reluctant to bring up their past acquaintance. But when fate brings her into his life yet again, Yu Xuan can’t resist the opportunity to re-introduce himself.
Brought together by fate, Yu Xuan and Shu Yan quickly pick up where they left off all those years ago, their childhood friendship quickly morphing into adult love. Hoping to spend the rest of his life with her, Yu Xuan wants to propose marriage but when tragedy strikes, Yu Xuan is forced to make some rather unorthodox choices. Holding both fate and time in his hands, will Yu Xuan find a way to keep Shu Yan in his life forever or will he decide the time has come to let her go for good?
