The Invisible Guest

When greedy sheriff Zheng Wei (Greg Hsu) learns that wealthy businessman's wife Joanna (Janine Chang), has been wrongfully implicated in the locked-room murder of her lover, he senses an opportunity and demands a large sum of money to clear her name. However, this is just the beginning of a tangled web of murder and class conflict: Hong Jie (Kara Wai), whose husband is missing, seeks revenge on Ming Hao (Yin Zheng), the son of a councilman who she believes is behind it all – but Ming Hao is the very man Joanna is accused of killing. Will the truth behind these layers of crime and oppression ever be revealed? "The Invisible Guest" is a 2023 Chinese movie directed by Chen Zuo, adapted from the 2016 Spanish movie of the same name.
