The Spy Gone North

In 1993, tensions between North and South Korea reach new heights with growing concerns of North Korea's nuclear program. The South Korean National Intelligence Service recruits former military intelligence officer Park Suk Young (Hwang Jung Min) to infiltrate a group of North Korean officials in Beijing to investigate, using the code name "Black Venus." Suk Young poses as an entrepreneur and gradually builds a relationship with high-ranking official Ri Myong Un (Lee Sung Min), leading him to gain the trust of North Korean leadership. However, just before South Korea's presidential election in 1997, Suk Young learns of a secret deal between high-ranking Northern and Southern officials – but he doesn't know who he can trust, as only the South Korean president and the National Intelligence foreign affairs director Choi Hak Seong (Cho Jin Woong) know who "Black Venus" is. Can Suk Young find a way to preserve peace despite this?
