Youn Yuh Jung is a celebrated veteran South Korean actress whose career spans more than five decades. Born on June 19, 1947, she made her acting debut in the 1967 television drama “Mr. Gong,” for which she won the Best New Talent award at the TBC Drama Awards in 1969. Many celebrated roles in both films and television followed. In 1975, Youn Yuh Jung married singer Jo Young Nam and immigrated to the United States before returning in 1984 to resume her acting career. They divorced in 1987. Some of her recent award-winning roles include the films “The Housemaid” (2010), “Canola” (2016), and “The Bacchus Lady” (2016), as well as the television dramas “My Husband Got a Family” (2012), “Wonderful Days” (2014) and “Dear My Friends” (2016). Youn Yuh Jung also starred in the popular cooking reality series “Youn’s Kitchen” (2017) and “Youn’s Kitchen 2” (2018). In 2020, she appeared in the movie “Minari,” a role that won her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Born on March 25, 1999, she began her career as a child actress in the 2003 television drama “Yellow Handkerchief” and won Best Young Actress at the 2009 MBC Entertainment Awards for her role in the television drama “High Kick Through the Roof.” She has since appeared in many other popular films and dramas, including “Can We Love?” (2014), “Seonam Girls High School Investigators” (2014) and “Baek Hee Has Returned” (2016).

Kim Young Jae is a South Korean actor who was born on October 5, 1975, in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province. He graduated from Chung-Ang University, where he majored in Journalism. More recently, he appeared in “Becoming Witch” and “Reborn Rich” (both 2022).

Through a series of unfortunate events, three adult siblings all find themselves returning home to live with their mother (Youn Yuh Jung): eldest Han Mo (Yoon Je Moon), an unemployed ex-gangster with a criminal record; middle child In Mo (Park Hae Il), a failed film director whose wife left him; and youngest Mi Yeon (Kong Hyo Jin), a twice-divorced woman with a teenage daughter named Min Kyung (Jin Ji Hee). Tensions soon begin to rise among the newly-reunited family members as old conflicts return to the surface and new problems exacerbate their issues. Can they manage to overcome their problems and re-establish a familial relationship? The film is based on the novel "Modern Family" by Cheon Myeong Kwan.
