Firefighters

Rookie firefighter Choi Cheol Ung (Joo Won) has just been assigned to the Rescue Unit at a fire station in Seoul. There, he meets veteran firefighter Jeong Jin Seop (Kwak Do Won), known for saving the highest number of people from fires. However, on their very first mission together, Jin Seop ignores orders from higher-ups and instructs the team to search a burning building – and while Jin Seop manages to save a young girl, one of their team members dies in the fire. Cheol Ung and Jin Seop's relationship immediately turns combative, as Cheol Ung is furious with Jin Seop's decision. But when a frantic emergency call reporting a fire in a densely-packed neighborhood comes in, Cheol Ung will have to put his trust in the team, including Jin Seop, to rescue as many people as they can. This movie was based on the events of the 2001 Hongje-dong fire.
