Joo Won is a South Korean actor and singer. Born on September 30, 1987, as Moon Jun Won, Joo Won was given his stage name by his father when he entered college because the Korean words sounds like “God’s willing.” Joo Won debuted as a musical actor, joining a performance group for a children’s show in 2006. He then acted in a variety of musical theater productions, and his performance in “Spring Awakening” caught the attention of his future management agency. Joo Won branched out into television with his role in the 2010 drama “King of Baking,” and the series’ high ratings garnered him starring roles in future dramas, including “Bridal Mask” (2012), “7th Grade Civil Servant” (2013), “Good Doctor” (2013), “Tomorrow Cantabile” (2014), “Yong Pal” (2015) and “My Sassy Girl” (2017).

Rookie firefighter Choi Cheol Ung (Joo Won) has just been assigned to the Rescue Unit at a fire station in Seoul. There, he meets veteran firefighter Jeong Jin Seop (Kwak Do Won), known for saving the highest number of people from fires. However, on their very first mission together, Jin Seop ignores orders from higher-ups and instructs the team to search a burning building – and while Jin Seop manages to save a young girl, one of their team members dies in the fire. Cheol Ung and Jin Seop's relationship immediately turns combative, as Cheol Ung is furious with Jin Seop's decision. But when a frantic emergency call reporting a fire in a densely-packed neighborhood comes in, Cheol Ung will have to put his trust in the team, including Jin Seop, to rescue as many people as they can. This movie was based on the events of the 2001 Hongje-dong fire. This version is fully dubbed in English.
