Big Deal

Amidst the 1997 Asian financial crisis, Pyo Jong Rok (Yoo Hai Jin), the CFO of soju company Gukbo Group, is faced with a grim financial outlook. He initially plans to file for financial rehabilitation and debt forgiveness, but Choi In Beom (Lee Je Hoon), an ambitious employee from global investment firm Solqueen, approaches Jong Rok with an acquisition proposal. Jong Rok is reluctant, but Seok Jin U (Son Hyun Joo), the head and heir of Gukbo, orders him to proceed – but Jin U has his own selfish reasons for wanting a buyout. As the date of the buyout grows ever closer, Jong Rok and In Beom take different approaches to handle the company's debt problems, but soon learn that not everything was as it seemed. Despite their previous adversarial positions, Jong Rok and In Beom may be forced to work together against an even bigger problem.
