Im Yeong Gyu (Kwon Hae Hyo) is a celebrated, seal-engraving master, hailed as a living miracle for his success despite being blind. His son, Dong Hwan (Park Jeong Min), manages his public image, but their lives are upended when documentary filmmaker Kim Su Jin (Han Ji Hyeon) uncovers the skeletal remains of Dong Hwan’s mother Jeong Young Hee (Shin Hyun Been), who had been missing for 40 years. As Su Jin and Dong Hwan investigate, they're confronted with conflicting accounts of who Young Hee was: while some described her as cruel and hideous, they discover that Young Hee actually tried to stand up for a survivor of sexual assault – and ended up killed over it. When Yeong Gyu confesses the truth of his own involvement in Young Hee's death, Dong Hwan is forced to choose whether to protect his family's legacy or bring the truth to light. This film was based on the graphic novel of the same name by director Yeon Sang Ho.
