A dutiful daughter is forced to marry one man to fulfill her father’s business obligations but her heart belongs to another. Wi Mae Ri (Moon Geun Young) is used to the failed business ventures of her father, Wi Dae Han (Park Sang Myun), making frequent moves and debt dodging a common occurrence. But when a wealthy long-standing friend, Byun Jung Suk (Park Joon Gyu), settles her father’s debts, the saving grace comes at a higher price. Jung Suk was once in love with Mae Ri’s mother, and he wants Mae Ri to marry his son, Byun Jung In (Kim Jae Wook), who is well-educated, handsome and comes from a good family. The problem is that Mae Ri is in love with bad-boy rocker Kang Moo Kyul (Jang Geun Suk), who renounces his carefree lifestyle – and even rejects his ex-girlfriend, actress Seo Joon (Kim Hyo Jin) – and says he’s ready to settle down with Mae Ri. Will Mae Ri be able to follow her heart, against her father’s wishes, or will her sense of family duty prove to be too strong?
