Born on April 21, 1951, she launched her career after participating in an open recruitment for one of the major television networks in 1971. After making her acting debut in the 1971 television drama “Chief Inspector,” she enjoyed a prolific career in films and television dramas. Some of her memorable recent roles included “The Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012), “Medical Top Team” (2013), “Liar Game” (2014), “Birth of a Beauty” (2014), “Kill Me, Heal Me” (2015), “Mirror of the Witch” (2016), “Doctors” (2016) and “Laurel Tree Tailors” (2016-2017), as well as the film “Proof of Innocence” (2016). Kim Young Ae passed away on April 9, 2017, at the age of 66 from recurrent pancreatic cancer.

He has since starred in many popular films, including “Howling” (2012), and television dramas, including “Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho” (2010), “The Thorn Birds” (2011), “The Great Seer” (2012), “The Blade and Petal” (2013), “The Prime Minister Is Dating” (2013) and “Splendid Politics” (2015).
