He attended the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and was a promising swimmer in his younger years, placing second in the final of the 100m Freestyle at the Chinese National Youth Championships in 2003. He made his acting debut in 2009, appearing in the first season of sitcom “iPartment.” He went on to appear in a further three seasons of “iPartment,” and also starred in the TV adaptation of the novel “Tiny Times” (2014).
