Kingone Wang is a popular Taiwanese singer and actor. Born on May 5, 1980, Kingone Wang began his career as a model and his good looks have been said to be a cross between Hong Kong pop star Andy Lau and Taiwanese pop singer Jay Chou. Kingone Wang debuted as the leader of the boy band Comic Boyz in 2002 and released three albums with the group until 2005, when the group disbanded. He then branched out into acting, appearing in such popular dramas as “Evil Scorpion” (2005), for which he won a Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series at the 40th Golden Bell Awards, and well as the more recent “Drunken to Love You” (2011), “Happy 300 Days” (2013), “Tie the Knot” (2014) and “Someone Like You” (2015). In addition to his good looks, Kingone Wang is highly educated, having earned a master’s degree in Philosophy from Chinese Culture University.

Tiffany Hsu is an actress and model of Italian and Taiwanese descent. She was born as Tiffany Ann Hsu on August 7, 1984, in the United States to an Italian-American father and a Taiwanese mother. But her father left her mother before Tiffany was born, leaving Tiffany to be raised by her mother and her Taiwanese extended family. Tiffany graduated from Taipei Hwa Kang Arts School and Chinese Cultural University. She was first discovered when she participated in a talent casting call for MTV Taiwan and then became a model in 2003. Tiffany also has worked as a VJ for MTV Taiwan. After making her acting debut in the television drama “Jia You Fei Fei” in 2004, she is most well known for her role in “It Started With a Kiss” (2005) and the sequel “They Kiss Again” (2007), “ToGetHer” (2009), “Autumn’s Concerto” (2009) and “Drunken to Love You” (2011).

Joseph Chang is a Taiwanese actor. Born on December 28, 1983, he made his acting debut in 2001 but made his mark in 2006 in the film “Eternal Summer” and the television drama “Corner of Auction World,” for which he was nominated for numerous Best Actor awards. He won Best Actor at the 14th Taipei Film Festival for his role in the 2012 film “Girlfriend, Boyfriend.” He also has starred in the recent films “Murmur of the Hearts” (2015), “The Laundryman” (2015), “Sky on Fire” (2016) and “Love Contractually” (2017), as well as the popular television drama “Drunken to Love You” (2011).

Rainie Yang is a popular Taiwanese singer, actress and TV host. Born on June 4, 1984, with the birth name Yang Cheng Lin, she also is known by Lily Yang. Rainie Yang got her name when she debuted as part of the Taiwanese girl group 4 in Love in 2000, when each member was given a different weather-themed stage name. When the group disbanded in 2002, Rainie Yang branched out into hosting the variety show “Guess Guess Guess.” Her career in acting took off after she starred in the 2005 television drama “Devil Beside You,” for which she also sang two theme songs. She has starred in many other popular dramas since, including “Why Why Love” (2007), “Miss No Good” (2008), “ToGetHer” (2009), “Hi My Sweetheart” (2009), “Drunken to Love You” (2011), “Love at Second Sight” (2014) and “The Ex-Man” (2018). Rainie Yang has also released many popular songs and albums.

Two couples. Two marriage proposals. Two rejections. One marriage?!

It was not the kind of day that either Song Jie Xiu (Joseph Chang) or Lin Xiao Ru (Rainie Yang) could have imagined. Jie Xiu is an interior designer who proposed to his girlfriend, actress and model Tang Ai Wei (Tiffany Hsu). On the same day, Xiao Ru, who works as the head waitress of the Farglory Hotel restaurant, also demanded that her boyfriend, airline pilot Ren Yi Xiang (Kingone Wang), marry her. Both proposals ended badly.

To wallow in their respective sorrows, Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru are strangers who ended up in the same place with the same objective: to get really, really drunk. The drunker they got, the friendlier the two strangers became toward each other. By the end of the long night of drinking, Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru woke up to realize that they had married each other!

“Drunken to Love You” is a 2011 Taiwanese drama series directed by Chen Ming Zhang, who also directed the popular drama “Fated to Love You” (2008).
