Sword Dynasty

In ancient China, the Kingdom of Heng rises to power after decades of war, but Ding Ning (Li Xian), a young man with a chronic illness, harbors a deep grudge against the royal family. Armed with exceptional martial arts skills, he seeks vengeance and aims to form the "Sword Dynasty" to overthrow the kingdom. During his quest, he meets Zhangsun Qian Xue (Li Yi Tong), a skilled warrior and daughter of a nobleman, who becomes a potential ally and romantic interest. Together, they challenge the ruling royal family's power and fight for their audacious goal of transforming the political landscape. Based on a popular novel by Wu Zui that previously inspired an animated series, "Sword Dynasty" is a 2019 Chinese drama series directed by Ma Hua Gan.
