During the Joseon era, where class dictates destiny, Prince Yi Geum (Jung Il Woo), a brilliant but illegitimate royal, is dismissed as unimportant. However, beneath the surface lies a sharp mind and a burning desire for justice. When a conspiracy threatens to destabilize the throne, Yi Geum finds himself entangled with an unlikely band of allies: Yeo Ji (Go Ara), a skilled female detective, Park Mun Su (Kwon Yool), a passionate investigator, and Dal Moon (Park Hoon), a well-connected charismatic commoner. Together, they navigate treacherous political waters, uncover corruption, and fight to reform a broken system. Can this underdog prince, with his unconventional allies, overcome prejudice and betrayal to claim his rightful place and usher in an era of true justice? This drama was inspired by the life of King Yeong Jo.
