Huang Zi Tao, or Tao, as he’s more commonly known, is a Chinese singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and model. He was born Qingdao, Shandong, China on May 2, 1993 and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2011 when he was introduced as the third member of the South Korean idol group, EXO. Parting from the group in 2015, he made his debut as both an actor and a solo artist later that year. Since then he has appeared in numerous variety shows and a growing number of films and television dramas, including the moving 2019 historical drama, “Yan Shi Fan”.

Born on September 12, 1986, Yang Mi also goes by the name Mimi Yang. She made her acting debut at the age of 4 when she appeared in the historical television drama “Tang Ming Huang” in 1990. After a few other roles, Yang Mi focused on her studies until she returned to acting in 2004. She rose to fame with her role in the 2006 television drama “The Return of the Condor Heroes” and has since starred in many popular films and dramas, including “Palace” (2011), “Beijing Love Story” (2012), “Clear Midsummers Night” (2013), “Legend of the Ancient Sword” (2014), “The Micro Era of Love” (2014), “The Interpreter” (2016), “Eternal Love” (2017) and “Legend of Fuyao” (2018). Yang Mi married Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau in 2014 and her father-in-law is actor Lau Don.

Mao Lin Lin is a Chinese drama and movie actress born in Wenzhou, China, on October 8, 1986. She studied acting at the Vocational Academy of Art in Zhejiang and then made her drama debut in 2001. She then made her big screen debut in “A Chinese Tall Story” (2005). More recently, she has starred in a number of dramas including “Red Rose” (2017) and “Negotiator” (2018).

Zhu Xu Dan is a Chinese actress. Born on April 15, 1992, she made her acting debut in the 2015 television drama “Ferryman 2.” She has since appeared in many popular dramas, including the recent “Eternal Love” (2017), “Sweet Dreams” (2018) and “Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre” (2018).

He studied in the department of musicals at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing the mid-2000s, going on to make his drama debut in 2009. Xie Xiaofei (Huang Zi Tao) is the reluctant heir to a lucrative business empire that spans two continents. He would rather stay out of family business affairs and is resentful when circumstances force him to interact with Tong Wei (Yang Mi), a woman his family has hired to represent their company at business negotiations. After a decidedly rocky start, the duo starts to develop romantic feelings for one another. When Xie Xiaofei’s family learns about their relationship, they forbid them from dating. However, Cupid has other plans.

This drama is the long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s “The Interpreter,” which also starred Yang Mi in a leading role.
