Jung Ryeo Won is an award-winning South Korean actress. She was born on January 21, 1981, in Korea but holds Australian citizenship after immigrating to Brisbane with her family when she was 10. She was discovered by a talent agent while vacationing in Korea in 1999 and debuted as a singer that year in the girl group Chakra. After the group disbanded in 2006, Jung Ryeo Won focused on acting full time. She gained widespread fame in the 2005 television drama “My Name Is Kim Sam Soon” and went on to star in “History of a Salaryman” (2012), “King of Dramas” (2012), “Medical Top Team” (2013) and “Bubblegum” (2015). Jung Ryeo Won published the book titled Ryeowon’s Sketchbook in 2007 and began hosting the reality show “Art Star Korea” in 2014.

Lee Sun Gyun is a popular South Korean actor. Born on March 2, 1975, he began his career in musical theater and struggled in minor television roles for many years. After he acted in a one-act drama, he met TV director Lee Yoon Jung, who later cast him in her series “Coffee Prince” in 2007. The role helped him launch his career and gain mainstream popularity. He went on to star in many popular television dramas, including “Triple” (2009), “Pasta” (2010), “Golden Time” (2012), “Miss Korea” (2013) and “My Wife Is Having an Affair This Week” (2016). His leading role in the film “Paju” garnered him the Best Actor award at the 11th Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival in Spain in 2010. Lee Sun Gyun married actress Jeon Hye Jin in 2009 and they have two sons.

Lee Sang Hee is a South Korean actress who was born on October 8, 1983, in Ulsan, South Korea. She made her acting debut in the 2010 horror movie “Attention,” following up with “Invitation” (2011) and “Manshin: Ten Thousand Spirits” (2013). She made her drama series debut in “Children of the 20th Century” (2017), and also picked up the Best New Actress prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards in the same year. More recently, she has appeared in “War of Prosecutors” (2019) and “Another Child” (2019).

Jeon Seong Woo is a South Korean actor. Born on December 30, 1987, he made his acting debut in the 2015-2016 television drama “Six Flying Dragons.” He has since appeared in the dramas “Beautiful Mind” (2016) and “Doubtful Victory” (2017-2018) and the film “The Table” (2017).

Baek Hyun Joo is a South Korean actress who was made her acting debut in the 2006 movie “Family Matters.” Later the same year, she also appeared in the films “The Last Dining Table” and “A Big Tiny Step.” She made her drama debut in a 2015 small-screen adaptation of the web-based comic series “Songgot: The Piercer.” Since then, she has appeared in a range of other hit drama titles, including “War of Prosecutors” (2019) and “When The Camellia Blooms” (2019).

Ahn Eun Jin is an award-winning South Korean actress. She was born on May 6, 1991 and made her debut as an actress in the theater in 2011. Since then, she has appeared in a number of theater productions, films, and television dramas, including “The Crowned Clown” (2019), “My Fellow Citizens!” (2019), “War of Prosecutors” (2019), and “More Than Friends” (2020).

Ahn Chang Hwan is a South Korean actor who was born on June 28, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea. He studied at the University of Suwon, where he majored in Theater and Film and graduated in 2011. He made his debut in 2015, appearing in a minor role in the drama series “Dream Knight.” He followed up with his big-screen bow in “Grandfather” in 2016. He has since gone on to appear in the drama series “The Fiery Priest” in 2019, as well as the drama “L.U.C.A.: THE BEGINNING” in 2021.

Being a prosecutor is not all glamorous work – busting international crime rings and bringing crooked politicians to justice, as Cha Myung Joo (Jung Ryeo Won) soon discovers!

She was once the rising star of her department, working at a central prosecutors’ office, dealing with newsworthy cases. But now she has been transferred to a small branch office in a provincial town, where her daily work is far more mundane!

At the branch office, she meets Lee Sun Woong (Lee Sun Gyun), a fellow prosecutor with a very different outlook on life and what the role of a prosecutor should entail.

The two are poles apart when it comes to their methodology. Cha Myung Joo is cold and meticulous, insistent on abiding by the letter of the law. But Lee Sun Woong takes a more pragmatic approach, chatting to the people he investigates – always keen to discover the human stories behind the crimes he investigates.

It looks like the two prosecutors are on a collision course, with both disapproving of each other’s methods. Can they find a way to work together – or will the battle of the district prosecutors get ugly?

This drama was based on a hit 2018 book by South Korean prosecutor Kim Woong, detailing his real-life experiences as part of the country’s judicial system.
