Baek Seung Soo (Namkoong Min) is a stoic, no-nonsense general manager with a track record of turning around failing sports teams – only to see them disbanded after achieving success. His latest challenge is the Dreams, a last-place baseball team riddled with internal strife, financial woes, and a history of underperforming players. Lee Se Young (Park Eun Bin), the passionate operations manager, is the youngest woman in her role and fiercely loyal to the team despite its abysmal record. Seung Soo immediately implements radical changes, clashing with the entrenched coaching staff, the team's star player, and even the owner's nephew, Kwon Kyung Min (Oh Jung Se), who views the team as a personal toy. With his unconventional and often ruthless methods, Seung Soo aims to dismantle the team's losing culture from the ground up, making tough decisions that alienate many in the pursuit of pushing the Dreams toward victory.
