Dance of the Phoenix

In modern-day China, Meng Yuan (Yang Chaoyue), a shy student aspiring to be a traditional medicine practitioner, mysteriously finds herself transported into the body of Feng Wu in a magical world of martial arts. Forced into an arranged marriage with Prince Jun Lin Yuan (Xu Kai Cheng), who resents the union, Feng Wu must navigate a dangerous landscape. Using her medical knowledge, she begins to treat ailments and make powerful allies, learning to defend herself against evil forces. As she adapts to her new life, Meng Yuan wonders if she can not only survive but potentially find love with her reluctant husband. Based on a hit novel by Su Xiao Nuan, this is a 2020 Chinese fantasy drama directed by Chan Ka Lam.
