In the 1980s, detective Cha Hyung Bin (Lee Soo Hyuk) has just proposed to his bookstore owner girlfriend Ha Eun (Jin Se Yeon), but she rejects his proposal due to a potentially-fatal heart condition that she’s kept a secret from them throughout their relationship. At the same time, a chance encounter with serial killer Gong Ji Chul (Jang Ki Young) irreversibly changes all three of their lives – with tragic results. Thirty years later, they’ve reincarnated into new identities, brought together by new coincidences: Hyung Bin is now Soo Hyuk, a prosecutor; Ha Eun is now Sa Bin, a forensic medical examiner, and Ji Chul is now Jong Bum, a medical student rumored to have psychopathic tendencies. Will their fates have a different ending this time, or are they doomed to the same conclusion once again?
