In 2020, he was one of the contestants in the reality survival TV show “I-LAND,” and placed first in the final standings. Later the same year, he debuted with the contestants who placed 2-7 in the all-male K-pop group ENHYPEN. Ni-Ki is a Japanese singer who was born on December 9, 2005. He took part in the reality survival TV show “I-LAND,” where he ranked fourth in the final standings. A few months later, he debuted with six other contestants in the all-male K-pop act ENHYPEN. He and his bandmates also appeared in the reality show “ENHYPEN&HI” (2020).

Rain is the stage name of Jung Ji Hoon, a popular South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actor who is well known in Hollywood as well as throughout Asia. Rain made his music debut in 1998 at the age of 16 with the boy band Fanclub. He made his music solo debut in 2002 and his acting debut in 2003 in the Korean drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School.” He rose to fame when he starred in the 2004 hit drama “Full House,” which brought him the Best Actor Award at the 2004 KBS Drama Awards. Rain’s fame expanded to the United States in 2006 with several sold-out shows in Madison Square Garden and Las Vegas. He was included in People magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue in 2007. He appeared in the Hollywood films “Speed Racer” in 2008 and in 2009’s “Ninja Assassin,” for which he received the Biggest Badass Award at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. He also starred in the 2014 gangster film “The Prince” with Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Jason Patric. His recent drama credits include “She’s So Lovable” (2014), “Please Come Back, Mister” (2016) and the Chinese drama “Diamond Lover” (2015).

Zico is a South Korean rapper who was born on September 14, 1992, in Seul, South Korea. He studied at Seoul Music High School and made his debut as the leader and main rapper for the K-pop boy band Block B in 2011. He made his solo debut in November 2014, releasing the track “Tough Cookie,” featuring Don Mills. He is also a variety and reality TV show star and has appeared in “Fashion King Korea” (2014), as well as “Produce X 101”(2019) and “I-LAND” in 2020.

Zico

Bang Si Hyuk is a South Korean music producer, songwriter, and talent agency owner who was born on August 9, 1972. He studied at Seoul National University and worked with fellow songwriter and talent agency founder Park Jin Young, helping to write and produce hits for K-pop acts like g.o.d, Baek Ji Young, and the Wonder Girls. In 2005, he founded Big Hit Entertainment, the talent agency behind global chart-topping K-pop act BTS. He has also appeared on TV shows, including “I-LAND” in 2020.

Over 20 young male K-pop trainees, born between 1997 and 2008, attempt to become the hottest new thing in global pop music.

The trainee group has been working toward its big moment for some 12 months, with contestants selected at a series of auditions held all around the world in 2019.

The prize could not be more alluring: The new boyband’s executive producer will be Bang Si Hyuk, the co-CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, and the mastermind songwriter and producer who helped assemble international chart-topping group BTS.

Bang Si Hyuk is the general producer overseeing the action. And he is also joined by a number of superstar producers: K-pop A-listers Zico of Block B and solo star Rain.

Together, the producers must help the trainees hone their skills as the field narrows down and the competition to see who will make the final cut intensifies.

Stars will be born. Dreams will be made – and some will be shattered…

Namgoong Min is the MC who will help put the trainees through their paces.
