Tae Yong (Kwon Sang Woo) took an unconventional path to becoming a lawyer: despite never attending college, he passed the bar exam and obtained his license to practice. Unfortunately, this led to his inability to find a job at a law firm, so instead he turned to public defending. After winning his first criminal retrial, Tae Yong catches the attention of empathetic independent reporter Sam Soo (Bae Sung Woo), who seeks out emotionally-driven stories that other writers often overlook. They decide to team up, and together they vow to fight for those who’ve been wrongfully convicted of crimes. This drama was inspired by a true story.
