Eugene is the stage name of Kim Yoo Jin, a popular South Korean singer and actress. Born on March 3, 1981, she began her career as a part of the idol girl group S.E.S., which was active from 1997 to 2002 and was considered the first successful K-pop girl group. After the group disbanded in 2002, Eugene released two solo albums and has enjoyed a successful acting career. She then moved back to Korea in 2005, changing her name to Kim Ji Ah before adopting the stage name Lee Ji Ah.
