The Last Goodbye to Mama

In the late 1980s, Ding Bi Yun (Dong Jie), a single mother, struggles to raise her son Ding Xiao Jun (Yin Fang) in a small town in Jiangsu Province, China. Facing poverty and challenges, she supports her son's education and personal growth. When Xiao Jun's dreams of becoming an entertainer in Japan fail, his mother helps him return to his studies. By 2010, he has graduated, found love, and is on the brink of launching his media career when he learns of his mother's terminal illness. Forced to return home, he prepares to care for her in her final days, reflecting on their lifelong bond and sacrifices. Based on the novel "99 Things With My Mom" by Bu Liang Sheng, this is a 2021 Chinese drama series directed by Cao Dun and Jing Chong that explores the deep connection between a mother and son.
