Chen Kun is a celebrated Chinese actor, singer and author. Born on February 4, 1976, he made his acting debut in the 1999 film “The National Anthem” and then rose to fame with his role in the 2001 television drama “Love in Shanghai.” Other famous roles include the films “The Knot” (2006), “Painted Skin” (2008), “Painted Skin: The Resurrection” (2012) and “Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon” (2013). Chen Kun sang many of the soundtracks to his television dramas and also released three studio albums. He established his own agency, K Pictures, in 2010 and founded a charity called Power to Go, which promotes a healthy lifestyle by encouraging people to go outdoors and walk. As an author, he has written many books, becoming the first actor to make China’s Writers Rich List.

He moved to Japan as a child, and later graduated from Chiba University, where he studied Economics and Management. He made his acting bow in a drama series in 2001, and has more recently starred in the movie “Love in the 1980s” (2015) and the drama releases “Listening Snow Tower” (2019) and “The Last Goodbye to Mama” (2021).

Having met with overwhelming success as a regional sales director at Jieke, a major multi-national company poised to claim a lion’s share of the Chinese market, Zhou Rui (Chen Kun) is thrilled when he learns his business acumen has granted him a huge promotion. Transferring to the company’s headquarters in Beijing, Zhou Rui is dazzled by the endless opportunities that await him. However, it doesn’t take long for him to realize that this glittering new life of his comes at a cost.

Deprived of the sales team he personally trained, Zhou Rui has only his most trusted aide, Fang Wei (Zhang You Hao) beside him. To make matters worse, Zhou Rui has recently been assigned an impossible task, with an equally impossible deadline. Working against the odds, Zhou Rui approaches the bank with a lucrative offer, only to discover that their biggest competitor, Huikang, has been working on a deal with the bank for more than a year. As if to add insult to injury, Zhou Rui soon learns that heading up the opposition’s cutthroat team is none other than his first love, Luo Jia (Xin Zhi Lei).

Overwhelmed by impossible odds and distracted by Luo Jia’s sudden return to his life, Zhou Rui must find a way to rise above the opposition, if he’s ever going to succeed. Will he be able to achieve the impossible, or will this life in the fast lane prove to be too much?
