A League of Nobleman

Zhang Ping (Song Wei Long), an impoverished orphan from the provinces, comes to Beijing to take the civil service exam while selling noodles on the street. Despite his unsophisticated manner, he is exceptionally perceptive and skilled at solving puzzles. Lan Jue (Jing Bo Ran), a young minister with a hidden past, encounters Zhang Ping while investigating a case. Through a series of misunderstandings, Zhang Ping helps Lan Jue solve the mystery and inadvertently learns the minister's secret. This encounter marks the beginning of an unlikely partnership, as the two men from different backgrounds join forces to unravel mysteries and combat corruption in the royal court. Based on the novel "The Mystery of Zhang Guo" by Da Feng Gua Guo, this is a 2023 Chinese drama series directed by Yang Fan and Jia Xiao Xiong.
