Born on March 23, 1987, in Tokyo, to a Korean mother and a Japanese father, he is best known as the vocalist for the South Korean hip-hop group M.I.B. He made his music debut under the stage name Ya-Cha with the Japanese band Kick Chop Busters in 2008. But he left the band and Japan in 2010 and debuted with M.I.B in Korea in 2011.
