Luo Qing Lian (He Hong Shan) is an ordinary, unassuming woman who wants to live a quiet life and marry a man who will love her and stay true to her. But fate has other plans – due to the fact that she bears a strong resemblance to a deceased former royal concubine. This leads to her being taken to court and forced to become the maid and concubine to the King’s third son, He Lian Xin (Peter Ho). Luo Qing Lian wants to escape. To her, He Lian Xin seems dry, aloof, and insensitive to most people. Some would even describe him as heartless. But underneath this frosty exterior, he has a much more tender side. He genuinely wants to help the people of the realm to live happier lives, even if that means going against the wishes of other members of his family. As Luo Qing Lian begins to learn more about the “real” He Lian Xin, she begins to warm to him. Could she find love in this strange situation – and help her “husband” bring peace and happiness to the realm? This drama was based on a novel by Xie Yu. “Blooming Days” is a 2023 Chinese drama series that was directed by Gao Han and Lin Yu Fen.
