As daughters of powerful families, Du Bing Yan (Bai Bing Ke) and Li Yu Hu (Tian Xi Wei) are expected to fulfill their duties by marrying into equally powerful families. Thus, when it’s announced that Bing Yan is to marry the sickly Qi Tian Lei (Ao Rui Peng) and Yu Hu is to marry the ferocious Yuan Bu Qu (Zhao Shun Ran), the two women have no choice but to oblige. Set to marry on the same day, a mix of fire, chaos, and a twist of fate set the brides on entirely different paths as their journeys to their weddings bring them face-to-face with each other’s groom. Will chaos plague this quartet of would-be lovers or will Cupid’s arrow strike true in the end? This 2023 Chinese drama was adapted from the novel of the same name by Xi Juan.
