Synopsis
The Chinese Imperial Court is ruled by the austere but dashing and clever Emperor Xiao Jin Yun and his polar opposite, the passionate Imperial Consort Xu Yu, a skilled fighter who possesses great phenomenal strength. The duo’s personalities clash, leading to seemingly endless bickering and disagreement. It seems they will never be able to put their differences aside, even for the sake of the realm.
But a near-death incident at a pool one day has strange repercussions. They awake to find they have swapped bodies – the Emperor’s spirit is now embodied in the Imperial Consort’s body...and vice versa! The Imperial Consort is disappointed to have been stripped of all her physical abilities. And the Emperor is shocked to discover that his concubines and consorts are engaged in a fierce battle for power and influence. He witnesses their deceit and scheming firsthand, and starts to understand that Xu Yu’s feelings for him are deeper and more genuine than those of his other wives and companions. Will they be able to pool their wits – and find true love?
