As the president of a massive conglomerate, Feng Teng (Zhang Han) has a lot of responsibilities to uphold; but nothing in his life is more important to him than his younger sister, Feng Yue (Zhang Yang Guo Er). Born with a rare blood type, Feng Yue’s current need for a blood transfusion is all Feng Teng can think about. Determined to find a donor for his sister, Feng Teng’s desperate search eventually leads him to one of his employees, Xue Shan Shan (Zhao Li Ying). Elated to find a match, Feng Teng wastes no time asking Shan Shan to be his sister’s blood donor. When Shan Shan agrees to help, both brother and sister are overwhelmed by a deep sense of gratitude. Wanting to do something special for Shan Shan, Feng Yue suggests that rather than pay Shan Shan for her services, Feng Teng should make the thank you more personal by sending Shan Shan delicious, nutrient-rich meals, to help her recover her strength post-donation. A true foodie who enjoys nothing more than a good meal, Shan Shan is overjoyed by Feng Teng’s gracious gift.  Taking time each day to savor every bite of these exquisite meals, Shan Shan has no idea that her moments of uninhibited pleasure are being observed by Feng Teng who, for reasons he can’t quite explain, takes a great amount of pleasure in watching Shan Shan enjoy her lunch. Drawn to Shan Shan’s natural warmth and simple joy, Feng Teng finds his cold heart melting, leaving him to wonder: how is it possible to lose one’s heart over something as mundane as a midday meal? Adapted from the novel "Come and Eat, Shan Shan" by Gu Man, “Boss & Me” is a 2014 Chinese romantic comedy drama directed by Liu Jun Jie.
